Mondragon centro de promoción The strategic plan rolled out by the Mondragon Group is framed within the overriding goal of generating local employment. In order to support the development of new locally-based activities, a promotion centre has been created. Over the next 4 years (2008-2012) it is going to implement 90 projects that will lead to the creation of 2,500 jobs and an investment of close to 2.3 billion euros. The promotion centre has the remit to develop the energy and socio-health sectors as the new objectives that will help to revamp industry and guarantee employment sustainability. Two new activities are to be undertaken in these sectors in 2008, and they may lead on to a further three or four new activities in 2009. The aim for 2012 is that 30% of the turnover in the industrial area will involve products and services that did not exist in 2007.
